Hi,
My name is Jimbo and I was the co-owner of the Long Beach Tattoo Studio on the Old Pike during the 70's and also the Ace Tattoo Co. in San Diego. I have been out of the business for over 30years now but I still have over 250 sheets of the old flash (some of it was pretty old even back then) and many pounds of powdered inks (green, yellow, white red & more), machines, tubes, acetate stencils, rubbings on tracing paper etc. Pictured are a few of the better pieces. The back piece stuff was done by Chris Nelson and there's stuff by Sutton & Lewis, L.W. Duffy, Capt. Jim, Fred Thornton, Phil Sims, "Brooklyn" Joe Lieber etc. ("property of" is not on the actual flash I am looking to sell it all to anyone who may be interested. I thought perhaps you might know someone who might be. You can give them my e-mail address if you do.

What I am doing is taking bids/offers (based on the photos) of individual items and keeping a list of them so I will know who's interested in what and what they're willing to pay for it. . I will make a list of bids (anonymous) which I will send out weekly to all bidders. I will not hold them to
their bid until they have seen the item in person or had it viewed by someone that they know.
I will also send them more pictures of an item they wish to bid on.
I will not inflate or create false bids. If an item doesn't get a bid or doesn't get one that reflects its value, it just won't be sold.
A photo cd of the collection is in the works and should be ready in the next couple of weeks.
Anyone wishing to have one should send me a self addressed stamped cd mailer. I am
not charging for the cd, it is free, one per person.
Send it to:
Jim Laporte
P.O. Box 39
Acton, Ca. 93510
They may make copies if they wish to send one to their friends.
Anyone who wishes to place an offer/bid on anything can just e-mail me with the item description and number and the amount they wish to bid
Regarding viewing the collection; the reason I am sending out the cd is so people can see what is available. The flash & machines are being kept in a friends vault and I cannot take it in & out to show it to a lot of different people at different times. This would also take too much of my time as I have a business to run. Towards the end of the sale (December) I will set up a viewing for all who have placed bids to see the items and decide if they want to go forward with the purchase. If they choose not to, the item(s) will go to the next highest bidder provided there is one and the bid reflects the value of the item.
Thank you for your interest and I look forward to hearing from you.
Jimbo Laporte
